Amy Lee Ketchum is a Chinese-American artist and filmmaker whose work embraces spectacle, folklore and the inexplicable. Her work was spotlighted in 2015 at the 10th Annual Focus on Female Directors in Los Angeles and has been written about in the LA Weekly and the New York Times Magazine. This past year she directed a documentary for the program “Lost LA” on PBS station KCET. She holds a BA in fine art and architecture from UC Berkeley and an MFA in Animation from the University of Southern California. Her MFA thesis film, Two Ghosts, was a National Finalist for the Student Academy Awards among other honors. In addition to animation, Amy is engaged in critical writing, and is currently completing an essay for publication by Routledge on new media and alternate worlds. At present she resides in Philadelphia and works in commercial animation alongside of developing her personal projects.
