Lucinda Clutterbuck is one of Australia’s foremost contemporary animators and animation producers. She has made over 20 short animations, including Pressure Sway, The Web TV series Walnut and Honeysuckle. She was awarded a film makers fellowship in 2005 by the Australian Film Commission in recognition of her skills and significant body of work.
Lucinda also has worked as a lecturer at Sydney College of the Arts, Deakin University, VCA and UTS. She has also designed short courses in experimental film and animation for the AFTRS in Sydney and Tasmania; and has run training courses for teachers of media for the Department of Education.
Lucinda has run animation workshops for theatre companies, schools, festival patrons, special needs groups, and film executives.
Lucinda’s work extends into animation assessment for the Australian Film Commission. She has a strong understanding of the local and international animation industries. She has been a grant recipeint of the Australian Film Commission, Film Victoria, the New South Wales Film and Television Office and the Children’s Television Foundation.
Lucinda has worked as an executive producer on a number of projects, consulting with and mentoring less experienced animators. Her experience in producing animated films permits her to create an atmosphere of safety for the film makers she engages with to create their work freely.
Lucinda acknowledges that in her career, none of this would have been possible without the assistance of Australian Government funding bodies. She continues to develop films and TV series, and collaborate with young animators in a producing role.
Apart from her extensive experience in the film industry, Lucinda is also a fine artist, and exhibits her prints and paintings on an ongoing basis.
